In 2003, Nichol tipped

the scale at over 200 lbs

and was miserable.

Her weight caused extreme unhappiness in all areas of her life, and she was fed up feeling this way. She couldn’t live her life this way because she was too young and had so much life ahead of her. With no going back, she decided to take action: “get healthy”.

After several fad diets and extreme yo-yoing in her weight, she finally found something that worked, and slowly, over several years, the weight started to come off and stay off. However, she noticed that she developed an unhealthy relationship with food, was obsessed with counting calories, and while the weight was staying off, she felt tired, irritable and noticed that she never REALLY “felt good.” Her whole life seemed to be consumed with “what to eat”, “how much to eat”, and what the calories and fat content of food consisted of. After 10 years of this controlled and obsessed way of eating, she decided to take her interest in nutrition to a whole new level by enrolling in The Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a holistic nutrition health coach. Doing so would help her learn the true meaning of health, and give her the knowledge and skills to help others in a similar situation.

While on her health mission, Nichol worked as a registered nurse, in both pediatrics and oncology. As she became personally aware of the importance nutrition played in overall health and wellbeing, she also sadly began to recognize how the health care system ignores it. The more she learned about the nutritional value and benefits, the more she believed that our health care system was severely lacking; nutrition IS the key to health. She focused on building a career outside of nursing, to work with others and educate them on the importance of holistic nutrition. On her journey, she crossed paths with SuperHuman Nutrition and Life Coach, Paul C. Tijerina. Curious about Paul’s SuperHuman Transformation program, she registered only to find that after just a few weeks into the program, her life transformed, and she knew: this was it. The SuperHuman way of life was THE way of life. Through real food, functional fitness, circadian rhythms, grounding and being outdoors, practicing meditation and mindfulness, and being connected with such an empowered community, Nichol was living life as she was truly meant to live: with vibrancy, mental clarity, emotional stability, and instantly knew: this was her purpose.

From this moment forward, Nichol has worked closely with Paul, side by side, learning, and honing her skills as an ATAVIST Nutrition and Life Coach, empowering individuals and supporting the SuperHuman community :)
